Mediamerge is working with IT specialists Cheeky Munkey to support schools taking part in the Department for Education’s Connect the Classroom programme.
The funding is helping eligible schools across England improve their wireless networks and IT infrastructure, creating better connectivity for teaching, learning and the growing number of digital devices used across schools.
Through the collaboration, schools can receive support across the key stages of their network upgrade, including:
- Site survey and assessment
- Network design tailored to the school
- Proposal and submission for DfE approval
- Installation and implementation
- Completion and funding
A dedicated website has been created at schoolnetupgrade.co.uk, where schools can find out more about the programme, understand the upgrade process and register their interest.

The guide provides a straightforward overview of the programme and explains the key stages of the upgrade process, from the initial DfE contact through to installation and completion.
Schools completing a Connect the Classroom installation with Cheeky Munkey through the collaboration will also receive 12 months of complimentary access to Mediamerge’s VideoLearning CPD resources.* (terms apply)
